CTE & CTO - An Overview

Industries dealing with pollutants and hazardous wastes require consent from the authority to carry out operations. Any form of manufacturing industry and commercial establishments require secure consent from the requisite pollution control board. 

If the consent expires, it is mandatory for a manufacturer to apply for renewal with the pollution control board. CTE or Consent to Establish 

Consent To Establish is the form of compliance required to establish or carry out manufacturing industrial operations. Any industry, operation or process discharging sewerage or trade effluent to the environment or likely to emit air pollution into the atmosphere are required to obtain CTE from the respective state pollution control board.

CTO or Consent To Operate
